I wish I could I shimmy like my sister Kate;
She shimmies like jelly on a plate.
Mama asked me late last night,
"What makes all the boys treat Sister Kate so nice.

All the boys in the neighborhood,
They know that she can shimmy and it's mighty good;
I know I'm late, but I'll be up-to-date
When I can shimmy like my sister Kate.
I mean, when I can shimmy like my sister Kate.

VIGILANTE MAN ~WOODY GUTHRIE

It wouldn't do the workers any good to go to the streets as they did in the 30's. Even if the rich paid NO taxes, technology has eliminated the need for masses of under-educated people. When the Amoskeag Mills in Manchester, NH filled a brick mill 5 stories high and a mile long, they needed every onE of those windows filled with workers' faces; today a man, a woman and a robot can probably produce what it took a hundred people to produce in 1911. Maybe a thousand! It ain't a happy thought, comrades, but I'm afraid it's the TRUTH!
