A timeless classic that seems to get revisited every 20 years or so.  The 1890's were very dark times.  We were battling an Economic Depression that was stubbornly hanging on into its fifth year and many people were battling inner demons as well.  It wasn't "The worst of times" as Dickens put it, but it wasn't a walk in the park on a sunny day either.
In order to read this, you have to envision that four sets of pages were read with the magazine turned clockwise 90 degrees.  Pages 3 and 4; 5 and 6; 7 and 8; 9 and 10; 11 and 12 must be read in columns left to right 2 pages at a time. It sounds complicated, but no more complicated than putting the post together. Any questions, e-mail me at  Enjoy!
