One Life: Babe Ruth
Opens June 24, 2016

Arguably one of the most portrayed Americans, no president, Hollywood star, or athlete so enjoyed the limelight for as long as Babe Ruth. The exhibition includes prints, photographs, personal items, and advertising memorabilia endorsed by Ruth. Join us this summer for "One Life: Babe Ruth," opening at the Portrait Gallery June 24.

Double Take: Daguerreian Portrait Pairs

Opens June 17, 2016

Highlighting the depth of the Portrait Gallery's early photography collection, the exhibition presents two portraits of seven famous sitters. The pairs bring to light the ways in which various daguerreotypists approached the same subject and how different the results could be.
